Connect your PayPal account and use the Performance dashboard to monitor your revenue.
Add your PayPal email
Go to your Profile Settings (click your avatar → Settings). Find the 'Payout Settings' or 'PayPal Email' field and enter the email address linked to your PayPal account. Save your changes.
How payouts are calculated
Tutrx takes a platform fee from each booking. Your instructor amount is calculated as the total paid by the student minus the platform fee. The exact percentage may vary based on your account tier and completed teaching hours.
When payouts are triggered
Your payout is automatically triggered when a student confirms a session as completed. There is no manual action required — Tutrx sends your earnings directly to your PayPal account after confirmation.
Check your payout history
Open the Instructor Dashboard and go to the Performance tab. Here you'll see total earnings, per-course revenue, number of completed sessions, and a breakdown of each payout.
What if a payout fails?
If your PayPal email is incorrect or your PayPal account has restrictions, the payout will be marked as 'Failed' or 'No PayPal'. Update your PayPal email in Settings and contact support@tutrx.org to request a manual payout retry.
Refund disputes
If a student reports a session issue, your payout is held while our team reviews the case. If the refund is rejected (in your favour), the payout proceeds as normal. If it is approved, the student is refunded and you will not receive payment for that booking.
